Wild columbine is an interesting little plant. The flowers are curious and captivating. It is a butterfly host plant and an important nectar source for hummingbirds. It is a fantastic native plant for the border of a traditional garden, measuring under 2′ . In the wild it grows in the shade but does well in a dry sun garden. It is also deer and rabbit resistant!
