Wild geranium is an ideal native garden plant. It blooms repeatedly from late spring all the way into fall, all the while supporting native bee, moth and butterfly populations. It is low growing with pretty purple flowers. Geranium maculatum makes a great border plant, or it can be mass planted as a groundcover. It is very adaptable as well, growing in damp sun to dry shade.
