Purpletop tridens is an underutilized native grass. It is a warm season grass that thrives even in drought. It is enjoyed by livestock, and adds nutrients to the soil where it grows. It develops attractive purple panicles August-November, and is useful in meadows and erosion control. Not recommended where re-seeding is not desired!
