Rhus aromatica (fragrant sumac)


Fragrant sumac gets its name from it’s peppery citrus scent. It is low growing and colonizes making it great for a “tall” groundcover. It’s clusters of red fuzzy fruits in the fall attracts birds. It has vibrant fall color. Not native to our county.
